After the unmitigated screw-up that was the defense of Gilneas, Archmage Arugal was ordered to find some manner of reining in the worgen now terrorizing the region. His proposal was if possible even more insane than his previous idea: find and imprison the demigod that had created the monsters in the first place. No one asked or wanted to know what forbidden magic he used in his attempt to do this, and the reaction was nothing short of stunned when he announced he had successfully sealed away the power of Goldrinn, the ancient guardian of innumerable legends.
