The wings bothered me...I wanted them to be black at first, but then you wouldnt have been able to see them.

Well black wings are always cooler than white ones thats like the law of the world
yeah they would have been hard to see
maybe if you had back lit him with a red or a really unnatural color (like maybe green like his hat) you could have given him black wings with some cool lighting effects
