Hello Everypony!

So...I've been tossing around the toku bucket around for a bit and I had a few ideas for a new team. I already had a few floating in my head, ubut I thought I'd throw this concept before I did anything major. The basic idea behind Valor Strike is that the Power Rangers are a widely known and generally do rescue work (and the occasional monster released from an underground civilization or mad scientist). The team is international, comprising of people from all walks of life. The feel is a send-up of old school Super Sentai, modern Power Rangers, anime, and a bit of Gerry Anderson. This isn't any kind of final idea, just the ranger helmets and two zords (AceEagle and DynamoDragon)

The story itself:

In a world of constant danger and giant monsters, the world has mobilized an elite force to pilot powerful machines known as zords. This force is known as Valor Strike and it's their job to protect the world from these threats. Everyone chosen for the job has a unique set of skills, from combat skills to impressive gymnastics. They inculde:

Aeron Lathkille, British pilot with amazing skills in the air! Becomes ValorRed and pilots AceEagle.
Chihiro Matsuda, Japanese racer that packs a punch! Beomes ValorBlue and pilots LusterLion.
Izumi Matsuda, twin sister of Chihiro and master of gymnastics! Becomes ValorPink and pilots DynamicDolphin.
Angelica Hilden, American teacher with a big heart! Becomes ValorYellow and drives TeneciousTiger.
Robert Williams, New Zealeand's best brawler! Becomes ValorBlack and drives BraveBull.

With this group of people, the world is safe from the rampage of villainy and terror. The people of the world love their rangers, but few know of a threat looming in the horizon. However, a powerful fleet of aliens called the Collective are beelining for Earth. They take sentient races, brutally force them into their ranks, and rule an empire light-years across. The Collective wants Earth and they'll take it with force. In light of this, a strange ship heads for Earth hoping to warn the human population of the Collective. A defector, he seeks to reclaim his honor for his people.

Too bad said defector is a giant red-eyed black-scaled robot dragon.

He ends up landing smack dab into a fight between Valor Strike and a monster and is mistaken for a monster himself. The dragon attempts to communicate but the rangers end up beat the snot of the robot and ends up falling into the ocean. He looks over to see a teenage girl (Cthton Owen) dumbfounded by the events before her and promptly takes her into this cockpit. Confused and totally taken aback, the teenager is asked by the dragon to be his partner. He wants to prove he's one of the good guys.

While the dragon tries to prove his innocence, the rangers themselves get jumped by a powerful monster. The beast wipes the floor woth the rangers, leaving Bravebull almost destroyed and ValorBlack critically injured. The space dragon steps in to take the place of the body of the megazord, thus beginning our tail.

(Basically, new girl and suspect robot dragon take place of trusted friend and ally. Hilarity ensues.)
