Well, I liked Link's line art way back in my scetchbook...but then all that seemed to go away with all the black...but I should have expected that to happen. I like this one but I had almost nothing in mind for it so it ended up looking a little like the Ice Cavern one...a whole mess of crap stuck in every random corner. I liked Bongo's hands at the least though, (those be my hands! I love my hands...they are so cool...) they came out better than I would have thought but Impa down in glooms ville down there, well she reflects nothing of her character so I'm just going to say that she is beign over whelmed by the darkness or some jazz like that. She did get captured right? And is it just me or do all the sages die and just get lucky and turned into sages? I mean they were probably killed and then Link had to erm, 'awaken' I think the term was, their souls and *poof* "Yay I'm a sage again!" ....."wait..." So really, he didn't save them...same with teh WW sages, they die too...0.o THEY ALL DIE! aherm, okay I'm good now. So back to the picture.i was lookign forward to doing shadow temple but...it didn't turn otu the way I really wanted it to...btu I do like the spiffy red lighty stuff off BB's eye there. (yes that is his eye) And I had a mental war with myself on whether or not Link should have eyes or just be completely expressionless...so I really don't know how it came out. I winged it and changed it so many times...
And considering I've done the hover boots before...they didn't come out very good at all once I'd finished darkening everything...dang...but at least you can see them and tell what they are...
All in all, compared to the other ones the quality I go for just isn't in this one...But I'll probably submit Link's line art to scraps just cuz I'm so proud of it. ^^ It was like the whole slow mo running thing, I had to laugh.

Usually when ppl draw the Shadow Temple they go in a totally different direction w/ it. Than they end up failing to portray it correctly. But you went w/ something totally original and it is PERFECT!!! I just love this picture sooooo much.

I have to say this one is my least favourite, but I'm glad you think it correctly portrays the temple. I wish now that I might have included something about the invisible platforms... those always creeped me out.

I really love this picture. The pose of Link shows both emotion and motion. (Also, you added the hover boots ♥ not many people do that) I absolutely LOVE the hands on both BB and Link. Referenced for sure, but makes it SO realistic. Impa looks a bit off, you know that I'm guessing, but she isn't the focus of the picture.
Only think that I'd fix would be the lighting/shading on the leggings of Link and the frills of BB's eye. It just seems very rushed and pops out.
I love Bongo Bongo and this is definitely a good one.

Since this is one of the last temples I did, I'll bet it was probably rushed.. heh. I remember I always found the shading and lighting of the leggings difficult (and thank you for not calling them tights. ^^) The frills, I think I was going for a painterly effect or something... anyways, thanks for the critique!

I like the lighting effects on Bongo Bongo, and also Impa's whole lost to the shadows vibe, or at least a very dark serious mood. The swirl of magic at Link's foot is well done.

Ah yes, those are the hooded guys with the scythes that rotate around on a pedistal in the middle of a room. The scythes are horizontal and just at the right hieght to lop link's head off, you usually have to roll under them or hide in a corner to avoid them. This is also the same room where you have to collect silver rupees under a time limit to make, I think, a block appear or some such thing. It's an important room, you get a chest with either a key, dungeon map or compass in it...

I know people have been arguing back and forth about this, but I really like the eyeless Link for this piece. It keeps it abstact, so it takes a minute for the full image to register. I think a pair of big bright anime eyes would detract from that. Awesome picture, awesome subject matter! Huzzah! XD

Link's "face" reminds me of something from Silent Hill, but I guess that's almost fitting, isn't it? On the other hand, it does look pretty weird and I would have added eyes.
Bongo however looks awsomeness and I also love the hovery boots!

you need to show his eyes, even if they are in shadow, and impa looks more masculine, well, tough, and her eyes look too sad. otherwise, i love this picture and give you a special treat: the great picture comment dance! sorry, no eyes can lay eyes on it and live.

It had eyes, but they demanded too much attention from the rest, and impa was always a pretty manly gal anyways...and her eyes should look sad, as well...she's trapped in her own temple. Interesting idea, I never thought of the sages actually getting killed. I was 'shocked' in windwaker when the sages were ko'd before you even met them, so it makes me.. sad. =_= Makes sense though.. noooooo
My fav part of this drawing are the hover boots, you scroll down to see the whole artwork and suddenly see these awesome golden beauties with wings, and the memory of the shadow temple with all its annoying and scary pitfalls hits you right between the eyes.
I can only admire art, I can't make any myself unfortunately. But I do get a great flashback of a great time in my life from looking at this fanart, and appreciate it for that. Thanks for sharing this.
