Actually it was first introduced in the original Dragon Ball, as in Dragon Ball before Z.

Uh, I know that hence why I said reintroducing (which means bringing it back as we hadn't seen that state since Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan so yeah, it was in Z before Resurrection 'F' of course)... because I know it was first in episode 8 of the original DB series where he used the Kamehameha which ended up destroying Fire Mountain.
