A Zebra for 's mom. I rushed it a bit, but I'm still pretty happy with it. She seemed to like it so I'm happy.

Probably one of my favorite things ever! Gorgeous colors and composition for a black and white animal! My favorite part is how the zebra's mane fades out transitions into a flurry of colors in the background. How big is it/what type of paint did you use?

I don't have the original on me to be accurate, but it's fairly small. I want to say 5x8"-ish. I'll have to measure it. o:
I used Canson Angora watercolors and Prang professional watercolors, as well as Prismacolor pencils. I also added in a tad of oil pastel in the black and white.

Oh wow, that's much smaller than I expected. For some reason I thought it was like, 11x14". Haha. Prang watercolors are really nice. And never would have thought of the oil pastel either. Cool!

Yeah, I work surprisingly small. But sometimes it drives me crazy. This piece was good to me though.
I love Prang. They have such bright pigment. And I don't know where the oil pastel came from. It just struck me. XD
