I like both Digimon and Pokemon and i think that those sprites are fantastic @.@
As for the previous comment before me <_< ... Pokemon fans must calmdown, Digimon its a better animation series than Pokemon

Me too, i love especially the Pokemon Videogames x3
But for the animation i prefer Digimon because the scenario is complety different and have some toughing moments which make you sad

Yup! XD Those people always pissed me off so much.
And to be fair, Digimon didn't rip of Pokemon...if they ripped anything off it was TAMAGOTCHI! XD Digimon was the first battling V-Pet, inspired by Tamagotchi. Pokemon the games came out after Digimon, than the Pokemon anime, than the Digimon anime.
So if you go down to the first form of both, Digimon came first. And I would not be surprised if part of the reason Pokemon took off was the fad of digital keychain pets. XD
I'm not sure if the V-Tamer manga came before or after the release of Pokemon Green and Red in Japan, though. I'm 99.9% positive it came out before the Digimon anime (yay for a franchise rippings itself off with characters, huh? XD)

Those people are annoying XD
I don't thing one of both is a copy of the other, they've a lot of differences which make them special XD
In my opinion the only thing they have in common is the "monster" and the monsters, although in both are different. In pokemon they're fight pets and in digimon they're intelligent beings and friends XD
The rest of things are really different, and if one is a copy other mangas/animes should be consider as copy too, like yu-gi-oh or monster rancher
Anyway, I prefer Digimon XD I think it is less repetitive and the characters behaviour is realer.

I prefer the anime Digimon as well. Pocket Monsters may have been better had they had the sense to make a new main character for the Gold/Silver arc instead of reusing the Red/Green/Blue main.

well... I think that pokemon is worse since Misty left the anime =/ It could be more interesting if in each place (jotho/hoenn, shinnoh) they use new characters. Like the manga.
Or if the old character envolve, but in the lot of chapters Ash hasn's grown :0 he is as tall as Dawn, and she has 10 and he... at least... 15? XD And their personalities continue being the same...

Which manga?
In Pocket Special, the main character of each generation is the main character of the corresponding game. I wish they had turned the original manga (only one arc, the Red/Blue one, was released in America. It was released as Pokemon Adventures) into the anime, or at least translated all of the manga. >_<
Pokemon has shown they are interested in being episodic. Characters don't grow in episodic shows (episodic is what 99.9% of American cartoons are). Digimon, however, has a PLOT.

I haven't read the pokemon mangas but I've heard from them manga and I have seen some pics XD I don't know the names of them... but the characters are the games ones... and they grow owo they've a different design in each age XD yellow, green, red, blue, silver... XD
it's true that in cartoons (from all the countries) characters don't normally grow, but the most of them are short or if there are not short the time isn't too much XD But in Pokemon they have spent at least 5 years travelling, I think that they should have it into account and make Ash taller =/
