Well that was really difficult.
After some attempts it worked. You need to breathe out so there is little air in the lounge and then you have to be patient and get the right moment to take the picture.
I think it took like 15 attempts till it worked the way everyone liked it.

I Use a Pentax K10D with an underwater housing ([link] )
Staying under water is just practice and talent of the model - actually she wasn't fixed to the ground as it appears in the picture - she had to use her hands to stay down - and you can see that she is still floating a little.
What you have to do is breath out nearly all the air - so that you dont have to use your arms and legs to stay in position - just freeze in the water and make slow movements (well if you've got empty lungs you have to get up earlier if you move a lot) this also will help you to focus more easy under water - I used 5kg rings to pin my self to the bottom of the pool.
This one is a really tricky pose and I think it just worked that well, because the water was not very deep and because she is in a swimming team

I use a pentax too It's a compact model witch is
is water resistent by itself . Did you ever try to
take ocean pictures . Would probably look werry good
in sand enwiremente . Do you do a lot of project whit
that model ?

I'd love to, but I don't have the to do it and if you really try to make good pictures you need an Bright environment and really clean and clear water - that would be somewhere around Mediterranean sea... or carrabian.
I love these small ones from Pentax. I had the chance to use one as well. You can do so much stuff with them. Why don't you try to take some underwater pictures as well ?
I did several projects. this here are some other pictures of her : [link] [link] [link] It was always fun to take pictures with her

Yes - that was really a problem at the beginning
I was lucky to find someone at DA who lived close to me - so I could easily ask and take some pictures.
You should look for people - who take pictures themselves.

Mine isn't too
But you can use an underwater case... If you trust these things!
The setup for this picture wasn't really difficult - you just need the underwater case an you can start shooting

Ah okay! - For photos like thesein my gallery you might need a DSLR. Those start at 300€.
But if you're relly intrested in taking pictures you should think about buying one. They're really easy to handle
