Description
I love Jeyne ! I didn't really care for her in the first three books, but she pretty much won my heart in AFFC, when she was still mourning for Robb Stark even though he lost the war and her family went back to the Lannisters' side, I love that she's such an atypical character, because there's nothing really special about her, she's not worth losing a kingdom over and that's pretty much the whole purpose of her character.*cough*Unlike the strong, pretty and badass female character trope that they pulled out when they replaced her with Talisa for the show
*cough* such cliche *yawn*

I don't think those should be call strong or badass; I found them just try too hard to be edgy and look strong. Not to mention, the edgy wannabe trope they pull usually boring and disastrous. I found Talisa character out of place and in some point, even pretentious and of course, cliche (I mean, Arya is a lord daughter, but even when her family still in power, she still have to cover up her true feeling when Talisa was try too hard to wear the "I'm a strong woman who need no man" cloak )... And I would take the feminine Nymeria and sweet pious Tyene over the Amazonian wannabe on tv series any day.

True, I mean Brienne had to learn to fight and Arya had to dress up like a boy just so they can travel safely, but somehow this beautiful woman just travels to a continent that is currently at war and manages to reach the riverlands unmolested without having to learn any skills to.. you know defend herself from rapists. Plus they pulled out the whole "mysterious foreigner woman intrigues the hero by openly defying him" trope. Jeyne and Robb's story is much more intriguing.
I admire GRRM for trying to avoid stereotypes and tropes like that and I think he's doing a great job at it, but the show is sometimes lazy with stuff like that
And I agree, I enjoy the Sand Snakes' diversity in the books, each one of them is dangerous in her own way, the show struggles to capture that diversity...

Couldn't agree more. There are different audiences for the show and the books, so the differences are understandable. And this is why television will always suck. Okay, more sensitively put, this is why books are always more detailed and subtle and enjoyable. Jeyne, as a character, is a prime example. While I loved Oona Chaplin's presence in the show, they managed to completely screw up Jeyne's relevance and position and the tragedy of her being used by her mother and Tywin to destroy Robb.
I admire GRRM too. Great books. Amazingly complex and subtle. The HBO series is wonderful eye candy though.
And, yes, this is a lovely version of Jeyne. Really emphasizes the innocence, verging on cluelessness, of the girl who won Robb's heart. Nice job.

Yep, but they could at least try to stick to the books when their only alternative is messing up characters, adding useless "strong female" characters just for the sake of it, overly simplifying everything and being total Dany fanboys, we all know that some fans are gonna like it either way, but the show became famous thanks to the book fans, the least you can do is not completely mess up the story (I get why they didn't include Aegon for example but LSH ? Dorne ?)
Ughh Jeyne's mother... I despise that woman.
That's true, it's great on the aesthetic side at least..
And thank you <3

Well, I am with you wholeheartedly but I have to point out that there are more fans of the TV show than there are of the books. The book fans may have made the show popular, but the TV fans are driving the show now. Perhaps I should say the TV ratings. I dare say this will always be the case since there are fewer readers than watchers. (Whydya think there's a Greyjoy character called The Reader who is looked down upon by his clansmen! )
A great many characters and plot lines have to be dropped from the TV show to accommodate the abbreviated attention spans of the TV watching public. I'm not defending it, but I do understand why it happens. Different audience, different content. Even writers say "know your audience".
Personally I would've liked to have seen Daario Naharis done up like the books, but then the TV audience wouldn't have accepted him as Dany's paramour.
Jeyne's mother... despise is too nice. I despise her even more than Tywin. lol
Carry on with your book-based art. It is ultimately more pleasing as are the books themselves.
