I find myself getting into that problem all the time. I'm developing a game on paper and microsoft word and thinking of all sorts of ideas.
I always try to improve the ideas that I've made and I've been doing the same game for 4 years. The game is massive with a bunch of characters, features, side missions, and about 16-20 hour long story to figure and place together.
I understand this experience very well.

yeah which is why i'm just pushing ahead with my mobile game, it's probably about 60% done, I figure if I can just release something even if its not perfect, then I can maybe earn enough money to hire a few people and start a team
