Description Hey guys,

So I finally got about to getting one of these done. It's just a basic run down of the stitches I use most often. I hope you find it helpful.

Thanks ya'll,

Thank you for this! I've been looking everywhere for a certain plushie that I want and can't find one, so I'm going to have a go at making it myself :3

A certain character from my favourite TV show, Supernatural. I found a few but I didn't like them, so I'm going to go to the craft store today and get the stuff I need

You are very welcome and I am glad I could help. I had to learn everything myself so I know how nice it can be to have a helping hand every now and again.

Thank you!! It's very much appreciated! I try my best to make this sort of stuff as simple and clear as possible. Even if it takes some time. I'm glad I could be of some use. :'D

It will be for me and many more! I hope the day I make a tutorial it will be as clear as this one! Great work!

Even though I already know these stitches, I didn't know some by name. So I did learn something from this, even if it's more aimed to beginners (but it's always nice to look at beginner tutorials to learn something, regardless of level).

I like the tip for hiding your thread when you're done. That will really help me when I go to sew up a stuffed plush or additions to a hat.

I'm glad it was helpful in some way. I'm just happy to help if I can. I plan to do more of these so I'm sure there will be plenty to come. I get a lot of questions about the basics so I thought this would help. I know I'm pretty lazy so and won't do something if I have to go a few places to figure it out. Lol. *shot*

That last tip for the end of the thread really is a life saver. I sell a lot of what I make and it just makes everything look that much cleaner. Thanks so much for the comment.Β

Any tutorial meant for beginners should always be welcomed. Many tutorials require basic knowledge on something before you can use what it offers. I'm the same way as well XD

I was thinking of selling some of my things I make eventually, so it's a good tip to know. No problem~

I've often seen the felt-stitch referred to as a whip-stitch, though there may be a slight difference that I'm missing.

This was a nice and very clear guide, though (:

Thanks. I've seen others use it and call it that but I can't help thinking I have the wrong name. T^T Lol. I'm glad you like it.

Was hoping that I'd learn a new stitch, but I already figured out all of them. Oh well, at least this is helpful for other beginners!

One thing that you could improve on, however, is by differentiating which side of the fabric is which; you used the same purple for both sides. It'd be much more clear if you made one side darker, and made the 2nd piece of fabric another color.

I wanted to just cover some basics in order to help out the beginners. We all started somewhere and it's easier to complete something when you have a little help. I may do more of these depending on what people want to see. I have been sewing for a long time now and use a host of other stitches. Both decorative and functional. Good thing about plush making is it's open to different ways to complete a project.

Also, thank you so much for your feedback! I really appreciate it. I made a few quick edits. If there is anything you want to see feel free to ask. I want to know what will best help you guys out.

I'm glad I could help. I wanted a way to cut my tutorials down a little and I figured most people needed it anyway. I taught myself pretty much everything I know about sewing and it took a long time. T^T I wanted to save others some trouble.Β I'll be making more of these tip sheets if you are interested. Also, if there is something you want to see or have questions on feel free to ask.

Thank you so much for the comment!

Oh! I'm very much interested! I did some sewing this weekend and a lot of it well...I don't mind tossing it out the window lol.

I would love maybe make a little list like what these stitches are best for. i.e. body hair, hiding or more prominent etc. Or I guess a little help determining which is the best to use.

And you are so welcome!

Sure. I could try throwing something together for that. I've had a lot of those kinds of questions too so I'll get on it. I'll do my best and should have that up soon.
