It surely took me quite some time to get Chapter 1 finished! I'm not as efficient and prolific as I wanted to be, but I'm glad to finally get it done. It's more like an artistic experiment for me as I try out different coloring techniques, which I had a lot of fun in this one. I'm so happy to bring out another major character, and I'm really looking forward to write and draw his story! I'm also considering breaking up the comic into smaller chunks - or even pages - so that I can update more often.

About supermarkets
When I was drawing this chapter, coincidentally, I saw a BBC documentary on UK supermarkets. Though I don't live in the UK, I believe most supermarket chains across the world works in a similar way. I was both amazed and shocked at the scale of consumption and logistics. I was greatly impressed by the effort put into running the business, yet I'm also concerned with the wasting of resources just to get that perfect product and customer experience. We, as customers, really can influence the choice of supermarkets, therefore our decisions really matters. I'm glad that there are more environmentally and ethically responsible products nowadays, such as fair trade, organic and sustainable products.
