Description
My niece Kelly "hounded" me quite a bit to draw her a picture while I was visiting her family in Chicago this summer. She begged me to draw her a puppy of some sort, and this was the result.Cute little guy; I'll have her name him for me, and perhaps use him as a character in something one day.

aw! I never understood how you get the different shades with the markers. do you use a slightly darker shaded marker? or just color harder in certain spots. i hate markers.

It depends on the situation, really. But the vast majority of the time, I'll color an area with the base color, let the paper absorb the ink and dry, then with the same marker, go into the areas that need to be darker and color on top until I get the effect I want.
