Ye Gods, this is an oooold piece. I was digging through some old things from high school and found this pasted in one of my journals from that time. It's my constantly evolving online alter-ego "Ruby" surrounded by a few of my high school anime obsessions.
This was done long before I'd mastered the art of shading, hence it looks rather flat. The dolls are: Xelloss from the Slayers in her arms, that's supposed to be Zelgadiss from the Slayers on the bottom left, but the colors got all muddled in the scan, James/Kojiro from Pokemon in the middle, and Trunks from Dragonball Z at bottom-right. Ahh...memories.

Hey, it's you! A very developed character, I like her attitude. She seems to have a bit of an addiction to chibi and anime toys though... (this from a girl who owns Sephiroth several times over...) If this is an old piece, I am extremely impressed - the colouring is vivid and the pose very well executed. Nice one.

Funny thing about this is, back then, I could come up with the coolest and most natural poses, but my drawing skills weren't so good. Nowadays, I'm much better, but struggle with making poses... Go figure...

It's because your skills of analysis have come to the fore. The technique is sharpened, but the instincts are thrust aside. You achieve your full ability when you can blend both together. ^_^ Good luck.

I can't help being an obsessive little anime fangirl with odd little crushes on her favorite anime and game characters. If it makes you feel any better, the vast majority of them have personalities very similar to yours....

woah, it's my bish's... XD. I had a character kind of like that, accept the appearance bears no resemblence. Hehe. Ah the old days...

I still use her a lot. She's just evolved a lot since then, as I have. When I cut my hair short, hers became shorter too. I don't dye my hair red anymore, but hers will stay red, it personifies her "fiery" personality better, I think. Heh.
