Behold my friends from High School. Clockwise from the top-left:
Amy, Lee, Neil, Jenn, Depinder, TJ, Kristin, Erin, Leanne, and lastly, Me. I had really long hair back then...
We called ourselves the Lab Created Family, and each of us was named after a particular precious gemstone.
Amy = Obsidian
Lee = Emerald
Jenn = Tanzanite
Depinder = Diamond
TJ = Malachite
Kristin = well, nothing. She was never truly "inducted" but we ed her anyways...
Erin = Garnet
Leanne = Sapphire
Me = Ruby, hence my username to just about EVERYWHERE.

This was taken in February of 2000, during Amy's 18th birthday party. We all dressed up in Amy's most bizarre clothing and walked around the neighborhood for no apparent reason. Thankfully, I was too fat to fit into anything of hers, so I was spared the humiliation. But I made absolutely sure to have her Mom take this picture so I can blackmail them all at our 10 year high school reunion.
