Description

Sapients of the planet Kawlpra, the Rulsi are giant marine mammals. The average Rulsi weighs 34 tons and is at least 50 feet long. Gentle giants evolved from six-limbed creatures; they roam the seas in a nomadic fashion. They are filter-feeders eating small organisms in large bulk to sustain themselves. Their 12 lobe brains have evolved to be one of the best among any known species. They have perfect memories and can process complex equations within seconds. Unfortunately, the body they evolved doesn’t allow them to take full advantage of their massive brains, their limbs though capable of carrying large objects don’t allow for precision work, unlike the Cresh their oceans lacked element zero which meant they couldn’t evolve biotic abilities, and unlike the Nolpin or Augrill their planet lacked a land base secondary sapient for them to ally with. So instead, they developed a society based on philosophy and theory.
They only began to hit their technological strike when the Chialiong came to their planet wanting to build a comm relay. In exchange for the use of their planet the Chialiong gave them resistors that allowed them to leave the water and hover above the ground, as well as servitor drones that they could interact directly with their mind.
Most Rulsi still prefer to stay on their home planet, and explore the galaxy through their bipedal drones, since their large size and dietary need make space travel exceedingly difficult for them. Though some have taken the opportunities to help terraform the oceans of other worlds.
