I decided to participate at this Mermay challenge of @thiswhimsyme , which I am really exited about! 🧜‍♀️🌸
The first drawing of this challenge is a mermaid in the season spring. The idea that I got for her was more litterly Spring with flowers which are just blossoming. To still keep the mermaid theme I decided to inspire her look by lotuses and by seaweed. 🌸

For the first time I did the sketch on paper because I wanted to make her as beautiful as possible. And I must say it was a lot of fun to draw her skin color in a different color then a natural skin color. On to the next drawing and season that will be summer! 🌺
