Description Guess what I got for my birthday? A wacom intuos4 tablet 8D
I'm still so excited, it's so pretty.
So, the other day I just had to try it out, and of course I fell back to one of my most standard things to draw: Tala looking to the left XD I was surprised how fast the tablet reacted. I can't keep my hands off of it, haha. So expect more digital art

Tala, art ©

ps. Caerula means azure in latin ;D

"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN." ... As I saw the thumbnail haha.

One of your best, missy!! The details, tones... shit, Idk how to even describe how it's attractive haha. Fur detail looks realistic, tones are fluent (especially in the eyes!!).

You got yourself a winner

Haha, more wolves. XD
Good job. You know, I actually have some tips for you when it comes to digital painting. To get really fine detail, zoom in and use a 1 pixel brush size to paint the fur. It'll take forever, but it's very detailed.

yup, wolves all the way XD
Thanks Lupus :3 Hmm, but from a distance, fur is usually very 'blended' in. With a 1 pixel brush it might become too static... I'm not sure

Well, fur is really formed up of layers of different types of hair. There are a lot of tutorials on how to paint fur digitally, and most of them advise using a small brush to paint fur one hair at a time. You stop it from becoming static by varying the colour and the lighting, as well as having the hairs follow the fur patterns on a reference of the animal.
