The detail on the skin is amazing...
Is this a real person?

Ok read the rest of the posts. I thought it was a Bucky econo skeleton. But was not sure. Love the idea of panty hose as a base for the latex. Very good idea.
I deal in flesh for the most part, though your work is inspiring.
Very very nice.

thanks...the pantyhose works really well...I also dip the spider web stuff in latex (the cheap stuff you buy in the bag at Halloween) and pull it and stretch it and lay it on the pantyhose to look like bits of rotting flesh hanging off. works great!

I have also used latex and cured it on a mirror, then peeled it off and arranged it into a scab looking mess. Then used black, pink and grey acrylic paints to make it real nasty looking. Made a few wound appliances that way. I add red pigment to the latex prior to making something like that.

LabyrinthCreations In reply to SaraFE [2010-09-13 15:02:29 +0000 UTC]
crispy... hadn't thought of them like that...hehe anyway, they're bucky skeletons...stretch pantyhose over them and tear it, then latex and dark varnish stain. skulls are covered with bucky 'lids' which I paint and stain and add hair to.
