Description
So I have decided to start a "monster of the week" sketch were I will draw a random monster. It will be either from legend, folklore, or cryptozoology. They are not meant to be authentic recreations either, just my interpretation of them. To start it off, I chose a legend from the land of the samurai: the Kappa
The Kappa is type of semi-devine being that in Japanese mythology lives in rivers and swamps. It looks like a child sized, humanoid turtle with a bowl cut. These little guys are fine as long as you worship them and respect them, but if you piss them off they will literally rip you soul out through your butthole. Speaking of buttholes, they have three, which allows them to fart with three times the force of a human. They also reportedly had super strength as well. The folklore states that they did have a weak spot, however. On the top of their head was a depression that was filled with water, and it was said that if it went dry or was hit, they lost their power. (Kinda like anything else if you hit it in the head hard enough) The stories said that they loved cucumbers, and may have invented sumo wrestling. They also loved drownding things, raping things, and music.

When I drew this up, I wanted it to look both frightening and like a flesh and blood critter, so I basically envisioned a bipedal alligator snapping turtle with some primate features.
