Description The Oh-So-Lovable Colin Morgan as Merlin.

I bloody love that show. I think I can officially say I've "been taken in by the BBC!" (from the Producers )

anywho, this isn't my best, I was impatient, I know his eyes aren't right and I'm not particularly pleased with the shape of his face, but hopefully you can at least tell who it is! *sheepish smile*

I am however, pleased with his shirt and jacket. I like them.

This is really nicely done, (and he has a REALLY hard face to draw.) All the textures are lovely!

Well, I'm glad you didn't scrap it as it's lovely. Are you going to do some more of him? (Not that I'm doing anything so obvious as massively hinting of course. )

I had to look up Andrew, I didn't know who he was. How did you get into him, were you into Primeval? (I never saw that...only a couple of clips here and there.)

And yep, my word is law. You have to draw merlin now that I've said so.

(And in a minute I'm going to tell the Lottery people that I HAVE to win the lottery, 'cause I've said so....... )

I first saw him when I watched Alice, the syfy mini-series (which is awesome btw, should you ever feel the need to watch it) he was a brilliant Hatter. though, you have to keep in mind it's really different from the original alice in wonderland story, in this case the Hatter isn't totally mad, but you see references to it, which is awesome. I am however, on series 2 of Primeval which surprised me greatly and is actually highly addicting.

I'll get right on that then
but actually I will lol, once I'm finished with primeval I'll have more time on my hand to use artistically, not just sitting in front of the computer being a total nerd and watching endless british television. *sigh*

you tell those lottery people!

I hadn't even HEARD of Alice as a scifi mini-series. (And I buy SFX magazine and I try to be in the loop) (I so want to see it now!)

I've heard that Primeval got really very good once it got going.

Yep, that's it, you need to draw Merlin. Bah! No time for relaxation and watching TV...... *LOL* (Anyone might think you "had a life!"..........)

(Oh, no, sorry, that's just me. *LOL*)

Oh do watch it!! I even got my skeptic of a sister to watch it and though she won't admit it, I know she loves it. She's one of those "anti" people. If someone goes OMG this is awesome check it out, she goes laaaaaame.

But she keeps quoting it, and then laughing hysterically. I think it's safe to say it's FANTASTIC.

Primeval is AWESOME!! one it got going it was really really good, the cgi was really impressive for a tv show.

Okay, here's what I'm going to do, finish my painting of Robin Hood, then probably a Hatter painting... THEN I WILL FOR SURE DO MERLIN... heh I have a terrible mind.

I promise because by then hopefully the universe will be my friend and I will have plus d'inspiration. lol

Okay, I shall see if I can search it out and see it. It does sound good from what you say.

What is the Robin Hood painting from? Is that from the new Robin series, or the old "Robin of Sherwood" series, (I loved that), or some other inspiration entirely?

I have a friend who was VERY into Robin Hood all her life, and was going to name her first son Robin. Until she realised that, as her married surname was Steele, he would then be "Robin Steele" (Rob 'n Steal...) So, much to her disappointment, she was forced to call him something else. *G*

I shall look forward to the Merlin picture VERY MUCH.

I pretty much watch everything on ninjavideo.net so maybe that's helpful?

The new Robin Hood I've heard it's not incredibly popular, but I fell in love with it and Jonas Armstrong has a fantastic smile

LOL I still would have named him Robin, it actually fits the role of Robin Hood too aha. but alas, the world would not agree and the kid would probably hate me.

I'll get on it soon I'm working on NOT procrastinating.

I did watch quite a few of that Robin Hood series, but it didn't quite grab me. (I rather fancied the the chap playing Guy of Gisburne myself :LOL.

(Yeah, I too need to get on and do something today instead of faffing about on the computer all morning. *G* I shall go and do something now........)

I only started watching it because of Harry Lloyd who played Will Scarlet, but I kind of got addicted lol. Perhaps it's the novelty of British television that gets me haha it's always exponentially better than tv here

But I must say, I secretly adored Guy of Gisbourne

Some of our TV is very good, but a lot of it, particularly situation comedies is absolutely DREADFUL. US comedies tend to be MUCH sharper and better than UK comedies.

Will Scarlett in the 1980's series of Robin Hood was played by Ray Winstone. [link]

Not so pretty at all as Harry Lloyd, but By Gum he's a good actor. (The music to that series was by Clannad and was absolutely lovely too, it won an award for best music, I've got the LP of the music that I bought at the time...)
