”Okay then. I’m gonna read in bed.“ Yuko stretched and yawned. She tried to embellish her curves with her movements back to the bedroom. I watched her leave, thought about joining her, then started the movie instead.
Somehow I heard a knock on the door. I paused the movie to get up. Before I could take a full step, I saw Yuko standing at the bedroom door. Her first was ready to knock on the door again.
”Oh, damn, unlucky timing, huh?”
She shrugged. Seemed like her ears still work. But her face seemed to be gone for the second time today. Ever since technology has caught up to consumers, body part rentals became mainstream enough to be common gig-work. Since Yuko stays home all day, she can rent out more parts more often.
“At least it’s good money. You should set up more time off, though.”
She nodded, then fidgeted in the doorway. I didn’t make her wait long to feel my hands on her waist.
”Want to head back to bed?”
