This started out as bust practice and turned into fanart? SUPA SYMBOLIC PORTRAIT ARRRRRRT YEAHBut yeah I pretty much never draw the actual crew, just because I don't really have a solid picture of how they're supposed to look. Also I really love andalites. So, I dunno. Just experimenting I guess. Trying to capture their respective views/personalities more than their faces. I really think Jake's the most successful, just 'cause both his morph and his portrait blend so well. I couldn't duplicate that with the others, it was kinda frustrating. Ah well.

Quite excellent, the juxtaposition between the characters and their signature creatures shows a lot about their personality. Also, the inking and blending between the characters and their morphs is very well done, particularly Jake, Cassie, and Marco.

Reading the comment below, I must say that if you ever did make any Animorphs comic I'd probably have to go hide somewhere in artistic shame, because you'd do so much better than I am at the comic version of The Invasion I'm currently working on cx

Fantastic!! If you have no other life goals, might I suggest re-making the series in comic book form? because that would be stupendous XD You do the best animorphs fan art. I was actually super surprised that you do people well too,(and I think they look perfect for their personalities and such) since your gallery is mostly alien related. If you could draw these characters more often, I could die happy.

Haha! To be honest I've been thinking about doing short comics, though I dunno if I'd be able to pull off an entire book. That is a looot of planning/time. We'll see I guess!

They look like the sort of inked illustrations you might find as a chapter heading in a children's novel. And I definitely see their personas coming through in their expressions.

Oooo the full set! I see what you were talking about with Jake and Rachel, and you did well with Cassie's expression and hair. And of course Marco is great as I said before. Tobias' is well done with how you have the hawk obscuring the human.
That said, the way you posed their animals works very well too. Tobias' hawk form in flight, described as the biggest pleasure of the bird morphs. The gorilla and tiger morphs non-combat while the wolf and bear are aggressive... squuueeee <3

Lol thanks man. The wolf I was aiming for more defensive than aggressive, what with the ears pinned back and all... Cassie's always been the most defensive as well as very morally aware, so that factored into how I posed her and the wolf.

this is amazing, though, how the way that they're facing communicates so much about their characters. especially Tobias, hiding behind his morph, oh wow. really awesome renditions of the characters, too. lined up without their morphs I'd still recognize them! (your andalites are my favorite andalites but this might be my favorite of your Animorphs stuff)

ahh wow, thank you XD I do love to sketch Andalites but it feels good to get out some actual Animorphs-centric art sometimes. They're great characters.
