Description
A Buitreraptor perches on a submerged log in the middle of a lake, looking for fish it can hunt, first observing where there may be a bank of them without being aware of their presence. The Buitreraptor was a tiny dromeosaurid that inhabited Argentina during the Middle Cretaceous 90 million years ago, it was a small animal compared to other dinosaurs of its type (since it was 1.5 meters long) but it shared a morphology similar to its relatives of the Unenlagiinae taxon, where Rahonavis from Madagascar and Austroraptor are included (which seems to be a giant version of the Buitreraptor, also from Argentina but this one lived at the end of the Cretaceous), and shared the elongated characteristic of the latter. Based on its appearance I used herons as a reference to draw it, in addition to its small size it is unlikely that it has been able to hunt larger animals, and instead it has preyed on small animals such as fish, which with the help of its elongated jaw could have easily caught.

Un Buitreraptor se posa en un tronco sumergido en medio de un lago, en busca de peces que pueda cazar, primero observando donde puede haber un banco de ellos sin que se percaten de su presencia. El Buitreraptor fue un dromeosaurido diminuto que habitó Argentina durante el Cretásico medio hace 90 millones de años, fue un animal pequeño en comparación a otros dinosaurios de su tipo (ya que medía 1,5 metros de largo) pero compartía una morfología similar a parientes suyos del taxón Unenlagiinae, donde están incluidos Rahonavis de Madagascar y Austroraptor (el cual parece ser una versión gigante del Buitreraptor, también de Argentina pero este vivió a finales del Cretácico), y compartía el caracteristico hosico alargado de este ultimo. Basado en su aspecto usé garzas como referencia para dibujarlo, ademas de que por su pequeño tamaño es poco probable que halla podido cazar animales mas grandes, y en su lugar halla depredado pequeños animales como peces, los cuales con ayuda de su mandíbula alargada pudo haber atrapado con facilidad.
