Been playing with this concept for awhile; I'm rather happy with how it came out.I wish I had something profound to put here, but the picture pretty much speaks for itself.
Orca's are so damn beautiful.

That white whale's a little tricky. She's entire back's facing the audience so her fluke patch isn't showing. Still, I can understand the confusion full heartedly. ^_^ 
As for the portfolio, hold your praises. I still have my self portrait to contend with and I've desided to give, "The Sound of Silence" a shot. Can't promise it'll be done for the portfolio but I'm sure as hell gonna try. ^_^

BTW, Aly-Chan told me about your Mom. How is she holding up?

She's getting a little stronger as the pneumonia and blood clots are getting taken care of. But she'll still have to take chemo, and it still won't get rid of the cancer completely before the cancer gets rid of her. She seems to be taking it better than the rest of us which makes me feel more at peace. She's so calm about it all.

Some people are born into this world with a sage quality about them. Perhaps your Mom understands that when it comes to life there is little you can do to fight the current. It takes a very brave soul to handle such a terrible thing so beautifully; it's admirable. My prayers are with you and your Mom. May God Bless you both and may your Mother experience a swift recovery.
