Exactly not to mention in a way Carlos actually saved Jill in a life/death situation to a higher extremity then Chris ever did although he saved her during the mansion incident Carlos still went out of his way to protect her from Nemesis in addition to stopping Nicholai from eliminating her as well as curing her when she became infected not to mention I'm willing to bet if Carlos had gone with her to the Spencer Estate to track Wesker then Jill would not have had to throw herself out of a window and off a cliff and even at that point it was Wesker's superhuman ability that saved Jill from being killed from that fall although I will also credit Chris for going and finding Claire at the Antarctic base too but I still see Carlos as a more suitable teammate for Jill in the field
