So I thought I'd experiment a bit on how I draw primates, which I feel gave me some mixed results.

I actually like how DK turned out the most. I wanted to see if I could make him look more like a gorilla, which meant trying to make him look less "cutesy". It could just be me, but he gives me the impression of a laid-back dad (it must be the tie or something).

Diddy I tried to draw inspiration from New World Monkeys (capuchins and spider-monkeys in particular), though I tried to keep some chimp elements. You can't stop me from giving him pointed ears, though!

Dixie came out the weirdest. Since I tried to base Diddy off of a New World Monkey, I thought I'd try to draw inspiration from Old World Monkeys (namely Barbary Macaques, since they don't have tails themselves despite being monkeys).

Overall, I thought it would be fun to step out of my comfort zone a bit. What do you guys think?
