I'm surprised too because Russia were the lowest ranked team in the competition, but it's great to see the hosts doing well because it always makes for a much better tournament. What's even better, however, is that the mainstream media in Britain, and the BBC in particular, are having to eat some humble pie and acknowledge the truth about Russia; that it is not a nation of racist thugs but, as I discoverd during my one and only visit in 1987, a land of great culture and hospitable, friendly people. To hear some of the outright lies that our government and media have been spouting for years about Russia makes my blood boil. Anyway, rant over, enjoy the rest of your day! I shall be cheering on Russia against Uruguay later!
