Commission to: N. TranSomething positive for everyone. I'm happy with this comic and I thought I might give the Orchard Blossom plot a little spin on things.
I also wanted to fight gender stereotypes.

This is wonderful and appropriate since June is LGBT pride month Scribbler just did a dub of this comic on YouTube, which is how I found it. While I don't consider Big Mac trans personally, it is clear he is getting in touch with his inner feminine side through drag. Rarity's generosity shines through here with her empathy and sympathetic reassurance. It reminds me of a "Peek Behind the Boutique" segment I saw today from Hasbro on handling criticism where Rarity affirms that so long as you feel you're doing your best and feeling beautiful, it doesn't matters what anypony else thinks. I agree with shvique, cousin Orchard Blossom should make another appearance, or reference in the comics.

No question about it: "Cousin Orchard Blossom" has DEFINITELY got to make at least one return-appearance on the show! I for one would LOVE to see "her" get invited to the Grand Galloping Gala! Can you imagine? Needless to say, I think Princess Celestia would also be hugely supportive of "her", as is Rarity in this excellent cartoon.

Love the sentiment. I look forward to the day that messages like this one are just looked at with apathy, because we've gotten to a point where its just culturally ingrained. The same way messages such as "racism is bad" and "being a dick is a bad thing" are viewed.

Yes! I love seeing trans/CD-positive art like this. I wish I could wear dresses without fear whenever I wanted because there are tons of times I want to wear women's clothing instead of men's but can't due to social fears and stigmas. It's so hard to get people to accept the idea of men in dresses especially among older folk who were raised that men who embraced feminine ideals were weak, sick, or evil.

Actually, you might be surprised so far as "older folk" are concerned. I personally have known CDers in their 70s & 80s, who kinda said, "Geez, you younger folk have it so easy nowadays! (Relatively speaking.) Back in MY day when I was young, it was REALLY an uphill battle!"

I know some elderly crossdressers, so not everyone of the older generations lived by those rules. It was definitely much harder for them to express themselves due to the social climate.
