Woot! My very first pose without using a reference! I am pretty happy with the pose. A few minor flaws here and there, but overall, not bad for a first full-body drawing from memory, eh? It was such a pain in the butt to get that one arm with the clenched fist just right. Pfft! Okay, okay...that aside... I have been on a Mortal Kombat kick as of late and what better way to end my MK drawings than with one of my most favorite video game character of all time? Ladies and gentlemen... REPTILE!!!
There is just something about a man who can chop off his victim's heads with his tongue alone. Or how about the fact that he can melt his victim's by spitting his deadly acid in their faces? *dreamy sigh* Okay okay... now on to the boring part of the description... I chose to do this pose because this is where he removes his mask and reveals his "true" form to his opponents right before he performs his "fatality" move on them. Any die-hard MK fans will know exactly what I am talking about. I think my coloring on the medallion behind him could have come out better, but ah well. There is always something that can be fixed. I'll do better next time. You better believe that.

Heck yeah! Mortal Kombat has some of the best fatalities ever! So many other companies have tried to copy them, but not very well. MK still kicks ass on fatalities. ^_^ And I noticed that when I was looking around for reference pics for him that it was so hard to find a pic that had his real face. I had to resort back to the old games for help on it. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on this picture. I know the quality is not the greatest, but it is good to know that some people appreciate some of the different things in art once in a while instead of just looking at something and saying "Oh that sucks." or "That's pretty good." So thank you thank you thank you once again. ^_^

I've done fanart without refs before, and I know how hard it is to get everything right! Kudos to you for accomplishing a difficult feat. XD

As for Mr. Reptile... he really doesn't have much of a fan following. And he only gets small parts in the movies. I don't think he even really showed up until like the second Mortal Kombat movie. Anywhoo... in this particular drawing, I tried to draw him in his stance that he takes right before he does his "fatality" move. I don't know if you have ever played any MK games before, so if not, a "fatality" move is a special move that the fighter does to finish off his opponent at the last second. Some of them are quite difficult to do, but well worth it if you DO actually get them done. Reptile here takes his "human-face" mask off revealing his true face (his snake face) to his enemy right before he either spits acid in their faces causing the flesh to melt away, OR sticks his long tongue out, wraps it around his victim's neck, and then rips their head off. It is so COOL! I love Reptile! Heehee
But anyway, thank you so much for always being encouraging of me and my art. I simply adore you.

I have so many ideas swirling in my head for what I want to draw next. It will definitely be an original female character. I have so much I want to do. Which is the coolest because I usually am lost when it comes to ideas for what t draw. So I will probably spend much of the day drawing some new characters. Yup. She thought she would be going home today but now she thinks not. She was having a lot of pain in her chest, that's why she's there.

Awww...that poor thing. I am so sorry for your mommy. I hope she will be okay. Is it her heart? I hope not. I have such bad heart disease in my family and I know how scary it can be. My cousin died when she was only 5 days old due to congenital heart defects. My grandfather has heart disease and is in and out of the hospital every other month and I won't even get started on my grandmother's health. She's the one that has Alzheimer's. But I really hope everything goes okay for you. Well, I didn't party as much as I planned on because by that time, I was kind of not in the mood anymore. I had a couple of drinks, but nothing to even get a buzz. Besides, if I would've gotten blitzed, my house probably would have ended up destroyed. But me and my friends did karaoke (I have alot of karaoke stuff at my house. I'm addicted to it.) and just hung out together. It was fun. ^_^ I am working on something awesome today. And since you are my most favorite person in the world on here, you are going to be the first one I tell. I am currently working on a calender of my very own anime girls. And it is turning out really cute so far. I have February and August done so far. I was thinking about having my friend Luiz color them for me on his paint shop thing. He has been wanting to do an art project with me, so maybe that will be the best start. Okay... I'll end my little novel to you for now. I hope everything goes okay for you and your family. My mom doesn't know what she has in her family. Her dad walked out before she was born and no one ever knew. I guess he had a bad heart, though.
