Description
As you can see, this are my concepts for a live action movie of Sailor Moon. This are some quick sketchs of the ideas I had about updating the original Sailor senshi's fukus and looks. I took reference from real sailor uniforms and costumes, and I though that I could enfatise their personalitys by making a singular fukus for each one.Also, I tryed to make them look more "realistic" than the anime style, so you can figure, more or less, how it could look on a real person.
If you wonder, I make many changes on Makoto's (Sailor Jupiter) aparience not only to make her look toughest, but 'cause I wanted to put some personal fetishes on my favorite character
I hope you like it, and more important, that you comment and critique my work so I can improve it, for a final group picture.

This colors are quite bad 'cause my monitor is broken and I see all yelow XD I'll fix it later. Anyway, this is just a sketch to set the ideas, as you can see, it has rough lines, and messy hand painted flat colors XD

However I must agreed with Femmes-Fatales though. You made Mercury a little too sexy compare to the others. If any case you should have made Mars a bit sexy. But these costumes are indeed creative and if there was a sailor moon redesign outfit contest going around, you would indeed get a prize!
I cant wait to see what else you got up your sleeve.

I have to say that the "sexyness" issue about the designs is too relative. I mean, I personally think that Jupiter is the sexyest, but you may think different. that's why I can't add or delete "sexyness" from their outfits. i can only change them XD
And in Mercury's case, I wanted her to look modern (with the piercing and the haircut) but cute and shy as well.
Besides, she's the only one who can avoid showing her panties XD

Indeed I understand what your saying. and I do love the haircut and ear piercings. The reason why I pointed this out, was for years I have hear other SM fans state that they don't like Mercury because she's too shy and doesn't like to reveal herself too much. So lots of artists would draw her like a sexy vixen with a seductress look on her face, and I find that sad, cuz Mercury isn't like that at and SM fans should really accept her the way she is. Even if she doesn't act like the stereotypical teenage girl should act. lol and your right Mercury will always make sure never to show her panties!

I like the way she is! That's what make her the person (or character) she is! And that's why I liked that outfit for her. To me it is more retro pinup than sexy schoolgirl.
I can imagine her trying to pull down her short while the others fight carelessly with their legs whide open XD

These are amazing! I love the different spins you put on each character while still making the costumes a complete 'set'. It looks very futuristic; Mercury and Moon are my favorites. I like the little touches, too, like Mercury's piercings and Venus's hairband.
My only criticism is that the jutting ankles make their legs look deer-like, but that may be unfair since this is really meant to show the costumes.

I can see you took a lot of inspiration from Naoko's intial designs for the girls.
I think there are some really cute things going on here such as the individual symbols on their chokers and I love their shoes. Jupiter and Moon's costumes are phenomenal.
Unfortunately, I feel like they don't really look like a team in such individual outfits and it's hard to see the school girl inspiration in Mercury's rather out-of-character sexy outfit.

I see what you say, but in this case I wanted to do something a little out of the story. I focus on the fact that they are supose to be sailors, insted of school girls. I Also wanted to make them look older than in the series. Is like a paralelle version of them, not exactly the characters from Naoko's manga.
And I know Amy's outfil look weird (more than the others at least) 'cause it don't even look like the original one, but I liked the short-pants design, so I tryed it on her
