Description This is my latest project....I am still working on it, but I need some help. Any suggestion to any of the more seasoned artists out there? I am trying to make a more painted look to it, but can't find any tutorials out there.
I use photoshop 7.0 for the postwork.

a good way to get the painted look- is to actually paint over it~ XD there is a nifty trick, if you set the orignial pic of the girl (on her layer mode) change it to "overlay" and then your work shows up like...through her~ it's a great help for getting that painted look to it~ XD

I've never used poser (which I'm guess this is) but maybe if you're looking for a more painter approach, have you tried simply using the poser image as a base and repainting the whole figure? If you;re looking for tutorials and inspiration I can't recommend the CGTalk.com site enough, a haven for digital artists.

As far as the right here and now goes, if you're wanting to work on this as it stands, I'd say consider your highlights and shadows on the hair, closer to the light source, the highlights and shadows will be stronger, and will become darker (highlights) and lighter (shadows) relaitvely, the further you get away from it. Also tyr bringing in some of the background colours into the shadows on the figure, they seem quite grey at the moment, and it will help unite the image more. Try adding your own touches to the image using what you have there as a base, say like hair ornaments of suchlike.

But it's a good start this far, I would just say use it as a base and work it up using your own imagination. And don't be afraid to acknowledge you might get it wrong... thinking you can do everything perfectly first time round is one of the biggest heartaches you can give yourself. And trust me, I know!
