I don't know if you follow my ramblings on Tumblr, but I've even gone so far as to theorize the potential mechanics of a fourth(GOOD) Jak game featuring a partially playable human Daxter. BECAUSE I MEAN THINK ABOUT IT.

Sure he may not be on Jak's shoulder BUT, looking at things like Uncharted and The Last of Us, Naughty Dog is getting REALLY good at creating AI companions, I mean especially Ellie. They're getting great at seamlessly being able to shift from character to character when the story calls for the player to act as that character, and the AI handling is good and companions can now fight alongside the player instead of being useless/hindering escorts. ND has shown a REALLY good improvement, and hell, even in the parts where we play as Dax during Jak 2/3, it's still good.

IF THEY HAD HUMAN DAXTER doing that, I would just lose my mind. He could have his own guns and his own animations and stances and him and Jak could STILL converse during missions, just like in TLOU and I think it would be absolutely amazing if they did that.

Though I recognize they have the iconic image of Jak and OTTSEL Daxter and they have that game mechanic going so if they ever continue that probably won't change, but...I can always wish. I am possibly one of the hugest Human Daxter fangirls ever.

I know a lot of elf/human Daxter fans. I think the biggest is :iconlady-seamstress: and now there's you. I've always wondered what it be like to play Daxter, and because I don't own a pal I couldn't play the Daxter game  
I totally know how they could open the story too!!! Jan and Daxter (Daxter May get changed back to his normal self?)get separated in a new adventure because of an accident. In one part of the game you play as Daxter trying to find Jak and in another part you play as Jak trying to find Daxter, ya meet new characters; but still get to see the old ones like Torn, Jinx, Sig, Ashelin and Keira and maybe Pecked too. In part 3 they find each other and fight the bad guy who was responsible for them getting separated in the first place.
