OMG it's a chobits fanart, get in the car!Anyway. It's finally done! yay. The only problem is, my teacher decided it's going in an art show (lol) so I don't have the original now. Unfortunately the only thing I have of the finished drawing is this shitty scan, many thanks to ArtTech's shitty scanners. yes.
I'll get it back someday, I hope.
(and maybe I'll help the anime nerds at the art show get some lulz)Oh, yeah, a small entertaining fact: I had to give it a title for the art show, so I called it "Trout" because her little persocom ear looks like a fish noming on the wires, lulz.

How big is this piece, by the way? It looks like you put a lot of effort into the little checkered pattern, and if this piece is small then it sounds like painstakingly hard work.

Haha, not that big. Just a regular sketchbook page, so like.. 8x11 probably. the checkers pattern was actually kind of cheated on, haha. I got some erasers from uwajimaya that are shaped like that, and i just pressed them down really hard in nice even rows. I just felt like it needed some texture.

Yeah, I try, but.. usually I just lose interest if they don't turn out right when i'm starting them. I'll try harder to force myself to finish things though, even if I don't like them at first ;3 thank yous

lol, reference pic! srsly, start out using references and then you'll understand how they move enough to draw them without pics. Trust me, I still have to use references a lot of the time, they're not easy D:

Oh my..this is really beautiful. I really love the way you drew her face. The shading is really beautiful, especially on the lips and around the nose. Her hair looks really realistic as well. I love the small details in the whole picture--all the shadows and the tiny flowers in her hair. Really nice work.
