Jeez, I don't know when was the last time I had to grapple so much with a drawing. I really just wanted to experiment with a new brush setting in Sai and make a bright colourful painting of good ol' Dirk, but even just getting the sketch to look decent was a real struggle (I'm still not happy about the posing and the composition). And I guess at some point I just completely lost my intuition for which colour combos look good and which don't.

Though to be fair, I kind of like the final aesthetics of this picture, even if it's not at all what I had originally intended. I got some inspiration from the vaporwave style and from the anime "No Game No Life", so it's basically rainbow barf all around, lol.
