Oh boy, I don't even know where to start with this one. At first, I wasn't planning to do something for this contest, but then I started shoving ideas around in my head and I remembered that I had always been interested in imagining the journeys of the other fallen children. The only part that I was insecure about was that the ending of such a story would necessarily be very sad, and I was worried that it would be too discouraging or depressing. But for some reason I really wanted to do it... and I wanted it to be good.
I'm not good with words, so I decided to tell my interpretation of the story of the green soul without any text. Giving each panel a strong colour palette like this was pretty new to me, and I've definately learned a lot through this experience.
I hope that the ending is somewhat understandable. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me about it.
One reason I'm so proud to share this is that I feel like I hadn't worked on anything this big for a long time, and finishing this story just gave me some new confidence into my abilities and my perseverance.
But I think I should give my eyes and my hands and my back a small break from drawing now. This was really exhausting XD
Undertale and its characters were created by Toby Fox.

And I don't know, really. The green soul was the one I had the clearest idea for, and I don't know whether I could do something of a similar scale for the other souls without repeating any of the ideas I used here. :/

You did a fantastic job on this piece, and that would be so like Kindness to just give up his SOUL, not in anger, but in kind submission.

Holy cow! This is quite the collection of artwork! Such a beautifully told story with beautiful paintings. 
I love this interpretation of yours on the story of the green soul. It's so heart breaking how it had to end for him, but I love how you sort of soften the ending a bit with him meeting Toriel once more after he falls. ^^

I'll admit, I never gave too much thought to the fate of the other fallen children, whose souls were symbolized by the different color hearts. But seeing this, made me want to know the story behind them.

He finds himself in a sort of personalized afterlife, and since he had a close relationship to Toriel and the impression of her is still fresh in his mind, she's the one to greet him there and comfort him (or his memory of her, to be more precise). It's just to show that he finds his peace even after his soul was taken.
Does that make sense...? ^^'

...And from that point on, every piece that you made here touched my heart. (With the amount of work, depth, color, & shading that you put into each panel, they *are* like their own paintings.) The way you pulled together this ending... I did not expect it-- yet so, fitting. ...I cried.

Das ist wirklich ein wunderschöner Comic und eine fantastische Geschichte...dieses Ende würde ich mir wirklich für Kindness wünschen...und für alle anderen Seelen auch. Hut ab für diese tolle Geschichte.

Die Idee hinter dem Ende ist, dass die Kinder nach ihrem Tod in eine Art persönliches Jenseits versetzt werden. So ähnlich wie der Himmel, nur dass es eher einem luziden Traum ähnelt. Und weil Kindness eine besonders enge Beziehung zu Toriel aufgebaut hatte und der Eindruck von ihr noch frisch in seinem Gedächtnis war, begrüßt sie ihn im Prinzip im Jenseits.
Zu symbolisch, ich weiß XD
Aber es wäre mir zu traurig vorgekommen, wenn die Geschichte einfach mit seiner zersprungenen Seele geendet hätte. Ich wollte gerne zeigen, dass er am Schluss wenigstens noch seinen persönlichen Frieden findet.

Mir ist grade beim nochmaligen Anschauen erst aufgefallen, dass das Tutu ja von einem vorherigen Kind stammt... ein sehr berührendes Bild.

Yup, es ist das staubige Tutu. Diese Illustration ist wahrscheinlich meine liebste aus dem ganzen Ding - Es ist so schön, wenn man mit einer halbwegs klaren Lichtquelle arbeiten kann. ^^
