Darth Vader done and scanned..I have wanted to draw Darth for years but was only drawing with sharpies..
I always thought that the black of him and the black of the sharpies would be to much..So
I have been playing around with colored pencil for the last couple of weeks and thought that id try Vader in colored pencil..
He turned out so well..i really love how he turned out..He looks great as a wallpaper to..i have him on my Mac
So anyway this is my Darth Vader..

I really like the idea behind this. A Black Vader with colored spaces surprised me. This is a really original idea. Never saw something like this.
The execution however lacks some finesse. This is done with crayons clearly, but I think you should have used your thumb or something to blur things out a little bit, because the colors look too angular in some spaces. Additionally, some colors should stand out more, as there are too many mixed ones in my opinion.
This had a huge impact on me however as I was really surprised when I saw the thumbnail. Great idea.

I'm so glad you like it..but it was done with sharpie marker and colored pencil. .and it did it that way..I wantwd to make a different Vader..thanks so much I'm glad you enjoy my way of Vader..

It is different to see darth vader with a "colored black." It is a good to see this, it is different and different is good. It is a very common stance but a highly original color design and that is where it strengthens. However the colors are still darkened and it does not grab your attention as much as you hope: unless you want it to be darker. Technique suffers because of this, I am not sure on what exactly you want to create, an odd colored vader, or a slightly different vader. That being said it has a very good impact when you zoom in, seeing the detail quality and overall look changes greatly. That is a great impact, technique is unclear, quit original, and has decent vision. I like it very much, but has room for improvement: I look forward to seeing more.

No you did great..Im just starting in colored pencil..My media is mostly sharpie pen..but to do vader in sharpie pen it would be even darker than this..So i just tried something different..And i really like how it came out myself i have it as a wallpaper..
i was trying to be different than any other Vaders you see out there..color wise..Thank you for taking the time out of your day to critique this drawing of mine..It really only like my fifth colored pencil i have done..I really dont know how to blend or what colors look good with what..i'm use to just pen and ink..black and white..so thanks again..and I'm glad you enjoy it..

Love your Darth Vader - maybe a bit black in black. You love black, but maybe another background colour could make a contrast and make his black deeper and stronger? I very much like your style!

Thanks..i was not to sure about the colors..but i wanted to step out of the box with the Vader....Because i have wanted to draw him for years..but with the sharpies it would of been to black..so i decided to do it my way..lol..people really seem to like him..this is only like the third drawing in colored pencil i have done still have a lot to learn..
