I think you did a great job, I love that the background isn't entirely white, there's streaks and indications of either wind, or clouds, or trails of exhaust there, and it adds a lot more interest. The black is also used very strikingly, and I think it adds bold interest without being overwhelming, and I commend you for your placement as well. It seems to bring your eye around in a pleasing way to admire other details, while also having clear indication of the focus.

Ooh, looks good. I like how his hair kinda matches the fur on his coat. The little pop of colour is nice too. (It's like my art teacher used to say, "sometimes the best thing about monochrome is when it isn't monochrome."
