Commission for ~calanthablue ! In the little universe we've been toying with, Kai and Ninnehla start their careers off together in a little hole-in-the-wall bar. Imagine, err... Evanescence or a similar band haha.For the cel-shading on this I played with a technique of sorts that I've seen Ruaki use. Basically just deconstructing the hell out of the shading. Blood spatter brushes! XD I dig the look of it.

Oh I forgot to add that Megami picked out that totally ghey guitar strap for him. She was probably all "IT'S MANLY, KAI. IT HAS SKULLS ON IT." (in this universe she is 8, lol)

I think the shading technique works well in some areas but in others it distracts my eyes a little. Keep playing around with the technique though- I think it's got potential to accent your pieces well.
Also, guitar strap! Deelit wants it!

Yeah, I went in and recolored some of the areas because it got to be too much. I think I tried to add a little TOO much visual interest XD

Thank you! She's actually a background character from my Zim fanfic. I haven't really drawn her too often, but a lot of people seem to like her, so that will probably change. ^^ I've thought about changing the elements of her design I took from the show and making her into an OC, but I don't know where I'd use her just yet. Probably in my Nata webcomic at some point. All the universes in my head sort of meet there, haha.

Ninnehla looks gorgeous~! Aside from the nice aver-all style, I really love the way you've colored her.
And, you know, I don't think I've ever actually seen a full picture of her. She's got a fantastic design.

Thank you! ;3;! I've only ever done one other full picture of her, I think. It was on my old G*R site as a character profile. When I first came up with her I don't think I really had the ability to render her the way I saw her in my head...

Yes, I think so, at least in line with the way I describe her in the fic. X3 I throw in colors sometimes without actually drawing the character. Giving her golden "hair" especially with the blue accent makes her look a little too much like Nia from Gurren Lagann lol. (Though Ninn came into being before Nia did) I'd probably change the accent color or remove it completely or something. *hmms*
