Well, since my site's down and I want someone to draw Verm for me, I figured it'd be a good time to upload this. I figure some of you are interested in Verm but haven't read the fic (TT3TT??), so here's a quick and dirty explanation. And by quick and dirty, I mean long-winded and obsessive. LawL. Hope it's helpful for someone. *shrugs*

Name: Vermeil (pronounced "vur-mayl." "vur-mil" is also an acceptable pronunciation)

Age: 24 (chronologically, though as Irkens age much more slowly, he's physically still a teen.)

Height: 6'2" and still growing.

Weight: Not much over 100 lbs...

Weapons: Dual pistols built himself, as well as a dagger he keeps hidden. Typically he fights hand-to-hand, and doesn't tend to use his Pak unless he feels it necessary. His Pak doesn't work terribly well at times and his paklegs are rather mutilated; he doesn't like for others to mess with his Pak, so he leaves them as they are.

He obviously isn't terribly strong though he's trained enough to not be a weakling. His speed is his best asset and he uses it. Typically he's rather graceful but his length can trip him up and his legs will get tangled if he's starting to freak out.

Personality: Mopey. Depending on who he is around, he keeps certain aspects of his personality hidden. Oftentimes he plays at being smug, though deep-down he is actually quite insecure. Around other Irkens he is often simply even-tempered. Those that are "privileged" enough to know his true self know that he gets depressed rather often, and doesn't trust very easily. He is an absolute sweetheart to those he trusts, while everyone else typically receives vague indifference or hostility. The most smiling you'll get out of him is a crooked grin. Very few people have seen a sincere smile on his face.

He doesn't often sit down unless he's curled in front of a console or trying to be personable to others. He also prefers to avoid sleep, due to horrid nightmares that crop up when he does. He's often rather jumpy and fidgety... his mind races; he likes to pace and-- if you manage to sneak up on him-- you might catch him murmuring to himself.

Vermeil loves technology and likes to tinker with machines/weapons/etc. Modifying existing technology or building new things from discarded parts is a major hobby of his, though he typically doesn't make a display of it. What he doesn't have in physical strength, he makes up for in brilliance; years of being alone with nothing other than his consoles has made him well-read in a large variety of subjects.

Background: Lived on the Massive until about the age of 4, when he had to be removed to ensure his safety. This was wise, as the Irken race fell when he was 6. His caretaker, along with three other Irkens, roamed ceaselessly looking for a safe haven until he was about 10-11, when they finally found a permanent home on the planet Veloixs (pronounced "Veh-loysh"). The rest would be telling ;3

In the present he has taken up residence with Megami. The depths of his affection for her have yet to be revealed, but suffice it to say that they are deep. Thus far, he has eschewed nearly all of his principles to ensure her well-being. It is expected that he will continue to do so!

Inspirational Songs: I have a lot, but "Vermillion: Part 1" by Slipknot is a major one. (listen and you'll probably figure out why XD) "Diluted" by Slipknot is also a very Verm song... The way it progressively builds to his losing it XD I imagine the lead singer for Slipknot to sound a lot like Vermeil, particularly when his voice is calm. Verm isn't much of an angry screamer, so I'm not sure if the rest applies
Let's see, others: "The Beauty of Being Numb" by Nine Inch Nails is a good way to describe the inside of Vermeil's head. Oh, there's so many. But this profile is already way too long so I'll leave it here.
