I read the plot summary for Beautiful Darkness, sounds crazy--I think I'd have to tackle Beautiful Creatures first. I'll let you know if/when I do. Have you read a book by Truman Capote called "Other Voices, Other Rooms"? Beautiful Creatures kinda reminds me of that, but minus the fantasy aspect. Oh, and never let anyone give you flack for being a sci-fi/fantasy nerd--we are the ones who keep the world fascinating
