I love Maglor! He's the last survivor of Feanor's sons (if I remember right). His fate was tragic, but at least he didn't die like Maedhros (whom I love too). 
Poor Maglor... I think deep down in his heart he is a really good Elf. The way he adopted Elrond and Elros proved it. But he was influenced by eldest brother Maedhros to do evil things.

Well actually all Feanorians are not meant to "evil", but they kept being pressured by their oath. And Maglor being the "music guy" in the team, he could be the most sensitive guy, not that he was easily broken-hearted, but he was sensitive to the things that happened all along. To think in the very end how his heart was filled with regret, pain, sorrow and all....itβs really heart-breaking.Β Β (my English is not very good, hope I have clearly expressed > <)

Yeah, they couldn't have been all evil, having the gentle Nerdanel as their mother. Feanor himself is a very interesting character. He's cruel, but not a servant to Morgoth. That makes Morgoth not the source of all evil, doesn't it?Β
Yes, Maglor's fate is truly heartbreaking.
