Collection: Modernized Historical Fashions
Model: Yoanna
Theme Of Collection: Taking major eras of history and putting a modernized twist on the fashions, as if those eras were returning. Mixing haute couture with wearable modern style, using one pallette of blues, reds, golds, cream, and as little black as possible. Designs done in chronological order by historical era.

Design 7: Colonial
Design Type: Day Attyre
Model: Yoanna
Model Hair: Short, black
Model Race: Mexican

Description:

Why do another design based on women's historical fashion when the men's attyre was soo much more fun during the colonial era? Pirates of the Caribbean, anyone? Mwahaha! Yay for frockcoats!!! Ahem, anywho. Onward!!! I have to admit, I love this color scheme to death, if that wasn't obvious when I made MY frockcoat recently Though I copped out of using burgundy for my real outfit, but anywho... Yeah, it would've been typical me to design a modern frockcoat for this design, but I already made one recently, so why not play with the vest design instead? I think it's cuuute! Heavy cottons or fabrics with a light shine could be used for this vest. I'm indecisive :3 The breeches are of a cotton blend, the vest is lined in broadcloth and edged in satin bias. The shirt underneath is a wrap drape style, and yes it has spaghetti straps to hold it up. There is a fancy choker/jabot, and a pair of gloves that resemble the cuffs of frockcoats, and a yellowy-gold silk sash. Lastly, a pair of tall leather boots, and gradient-effect beaded earrings finish this. My model looks like she can kick some pirate booteh if need be, mwaha! Er...ahoy!
