Terra was a birthday gift for a friend of mine. I had no idea what to get him and I was starting to panic when I recalled he happened to like my ponies and had mentioned in the past that he would like to commission me at some time. So I sat down and pondered... what does this guy like? Then it hit me. Every time I visit I get subjected to the online game Planetside and he would squee about how awesome it was. I happened to remember the empire he played in the game and googled it - the result of which was me going "oooh! pretty colours and nice logo!". Much yay for the Terran Republic having an awesome colour scheme.

Thus, Terra was born!

She was made from a bait Fairy Dust which I went through hell to get (I had a bait but an accident occured and the body got horrendously stained beyond repair) - I ended up asking a friend from the other side of the country to go to TRU and post one to me (I only had a few days to do it!!).

She was rehaired in restoredoll Katsilk hair in Caddy Red with 3 Midnight streaks (to mimic her symbol ^^) and had her eyes repainted in two shades of brown with red eyeshadow added and the Terran Republic symbol painted on her display side. Her necklace is made of shrinky dink plastic and is the TR symbol again and she has a double ribbon in her tail of black and red.

I'm peased to report that he -loved- her and was giggling for ages after opening her to the point he started crying and hugged me for a good 10 minutes. She now sits on his desk and watches him smiting the other players on a daily basis
