Afterwork: Well I've shrunk a series of flame photos I took earlier in the year, four frames. I 've taken a pentagram piece of clip art, reversed it from the black and made it transparent. Then I created four patterns to add to the transparency from the flame shots. I layered them over the image with the pattern fill and then animated them to make the flames move. That was pretty much it, though I did start out with the flames behind the image originally.I liked how this one came out, and I'm considering doing a whole elemental series, adding water, earth and air as well. Feedback people, what do you think? Any intrest in the other elements, plus suggestions please for what to use as air or earth, though my first thoughts were tornados and avalances.

I like it! my first though was it was pretty, the second was that I liked it better than the spinning one, the third that it'd be cool to have a series of water earth and wind to, and the fourth that it'd be cool if they were all in one deviation, happening aver eachother. then I read your comment.
an avalanche and a hurricane might be abit to drastical, I dunno. maybe some clouds could be wind, and some droplets water, or waves or bubbles going upwards so it's like under water or something. earth could maybe be something green and brown. or greenish brown. I dunno. gl with it though.

it came out really good..can you do the animations with photoshop?

Yes, I think from Photoshop 7 on it comes packaged with a program called "Image Ready" which will create animations frame by frame. Sometimes its tedious and I'm still learning all the tools on that side which is why I'm doing the stamps and avatars really, practice.

O ok I heard of Image Ready. I get a little confused with the different photoshops though...like I know we are using Photoshop CS 2 in class...I need to ask him the differences between PS and PS CS 2 if there is one...

It's just a later version darlin. Image Ready came packages in Photoshop from version 7.0 on, if I remember right.
