Description

In which Arcadia has to act as Magnus's guide after circumstances happen that destroy his vision implant.  He's also an enemy of the state after finding out that said state orchestrated the deaths of his parents as a child which results in him going AWOL; he asks for asylum with the Rogues, an organization trying to expose the government for what it is while liberating the people, and Arcadia is his contact.  I want to finish Haddock & Isolde sometime this year so I can start working on Genesis Dissentire as my next webnovel. *__*

I've been in a very Genesis Dissentire mood after watching Tron: Uprising again...

I love this cinematic feel to this!

Poor Magnus! I'm glad Arcadia is there to lead the way!

Thank you!  I had a lot of fun with all the filters!   Hopefully she doesn't decide to ditch him cuz he sort of arrested her dad earlier in the story...

This looks really good. I'm interesting in what is happening here. Being blind and on the run is a bad combo.

Thank you!  There's more info on the scene on my IG post of the sketch!

I guess that's why implants would ultimately be a bad thing - though one bonus to come out of blindness is not seeing your likeness on every screen lol *cringes away from it*. I think it's great how you managed to portray the haste and urgency of their plight in such a simple image

Unfortunately Magnus made the mistake of enlisting in the Genesis militia and undergoing the mandatory surgery where all the generals are implanted with detonation chips at the base of their spinal cords (it's the dictator's way of making sure he can cut off any "diseased limbs" who might try to rebel against him by paralyzing them, turning them into vegetables, etc.); he received the vision implant as a child after he was blinded, but the surgeons connected that to the detonation chip as per their leader's request.

Thanks!  I was trying to capture the feel of the original I scrapped a few years back while also making it more cyberpunk with all the background holograms.

Oh sick! I'm really intrigued by this story, can't wait to see more of it. Sounds intense! So is Magnus blind in this pic?

Thank you!  It's still very much a WIP, but I'm getting closer to the plot I want.

Yeah, he's blind here; he went to an ex-military surgeon to get his chip disabled (everyone on the planet of Genesis is chipped as a means of keeping track of them and storing information like blood type and whatnot) so the leader of the planet wouldn't be able to trace him, but he didn't realize that the chip was connected to his vision implant as a failsafe so the surgeon unwittingly deactivated both.

It's good to take time writing stories. No rushing!

Oh no, that's not good. I bet he was surprised once he lost his vision... I know I would be.
