Description
I drew RotJ Luke on a Cintiq at CTN two weeks ago at my college's booth, and it was an experience.Β It was nice having such a large surface to work with along with a smooth-feeling stylus, but I quickly realized that I rely on my keyboard hotkeys a lot more than I thought I did when my hand kept moving to where the keyboard should be while I was drawing!Luke SkywalkerΒ©Lucasfilm Ltd.

It was a lot of fun!Β If I ever try it again though, I'd want to know where all my hotkeys are!

I relay on keyboards too much too. I try to push the command z thing when I make a mistake on paper.Β

I used to do that too when I first started using photoshop--I've come to rely a lot on my trusty old moldable eraser when drawing traditionally now.
I'd love to try using a Cintiq again if I can find out how the hotkeys translate to that platform! D:

I haven't gotten to use aΒ Cintiq. I'm hoping when I upgrade my computer, my 2011 bamboo fun tablet will still work with the new on.

I tried to hook up my Bamboo with my Surface Pro when I first got my computer but it wasn't compatible since my tablet is kind of old. :I

I think I'll have to upgrade, but I'm looking at other brands besides Wacom. Wacom is getting rather pricy.Β

I don't know if they're equally expensive as Wacom tablets, but I use a Surface and it's like the Poor Man's Cintiq since it's touchscreen and can be used to draw on surprisingly well.Β The only hitch is that you'll have to subscribe to the Adobe Creative Cloud to get Photoshop--I tried to download my 2011 Photoshop program onto my Surface but it wasn't compatible. >.<

Thanks. I'd probably go with something under 100 bucks that's just something to hook up and use to draw on a computer. (I like Clip Studio Paint myself.)Β

At least there's plenty of options out there now for tablets!

Lovely piece! The pose is really dynamic, and the dramatic lighting looks great.
