There was never a color to it.. I did it on black and white film. If I remember correctly the actual coloring that day was mostly orange with a bit of yellow and grey. I don't think the picture would have been nearly as attractive in color.
Thank you (:

I think that the pic is very dynamic and powerful... and somehow the waves looks like lips (to me). Definitely

I thank you very much for both the fav and the comment. I looked at the photo and tried to see lips in it, but I didn't find them lol. Although that is an interesting way of looking at it.
Thank you again.

BONJOUR MA BELLE So for some reasoin I've never looked through your gallery. And now it makes me sad. Because you have potential. Feels wierd saying that, but I guess you don't have to be good at creating it to be good at enjoying it. Anywho...I like this, but theres definitely somethings you could change to give it extra kick. Like the composition: You've gone and cut your canvas in half with the horizon. While this has its uses, its not the best choice here. You should have stuck to the rule of thirds. Ya know, the idea that you should visualize your canvas or photo as divided into thirds each way, and place focal points at the intersections of these lines, or for the horizon, just along one of the two lines along the vertical axis. Same idea with the sun, move it over a little to the right
I LOVE the texture on the sand though. The deep coloring you've given it here really brings out the...sandiness of it.
Ok I r done see ya on dAmn

omg hahhaha Daron. If it's any consolation this was not taken with artistic thoughts in mind.. it was simply the beauty I saw and wanted to capture. I did nothing at all to the photo.. that is exactly how it came... well almost. The horizon was tilted and *alvenom straightened it out for me. As far as coloring, texture, and all that great stuff is concerned.. this is exactly how the shot came.
I gave it nothing.. I just pushed a button
Thanks love.

This is an incredible capture...the exposure is perfect. It is nice to see a sunset/sunrise done in black and white. Did you shoot this with b&w film?

I am working on getting a Nikon D200.. so hopefully my point and shoot will only be needed for black and white shots forever more.

Otter! I'm so sorry for taking forever to get around to this!
But anyway.. I love it! You've made an excelent decision making it into a high contrast black & white phot. It really adds to the feeling of the shot.
When did you take this and with what camera?

NexTel! It's ok babe.. no worries.
uhm.. lmao. I have no idea what you're talking about. Making this into a high contrast b&w photo? I took this with my fairly cheap camera and black and white film. There's been no editing on the contrast. The only edit was the horizon and border. This is pretty much exactly as it was taken and developed.

its got a nice transition of textures and pretty well composed although the highlights are a little overexposed. Still minor details
