Description
This was an art project I just finished, and I've kinda grown attatched to the thing whilst I was making it...I've been inspired by theatre and film costume design so I thought I'd make up a mask of a creepy dead white wolf -like thing.
It is a mask so is fully wearable and you can see through the eye sockets too.
I made it from a lightweight armature of wire and mesh under a cover of plaster coat so the shull feels hard and bone like.
The hood is just long pile fur fabric sewn into a hood shape. The ears are a wire and mesh frame covered in fur, so are posable...
Oh, and the eyes are halves of a bouncy ball.

Your warped imagination is no less reduced. Really creepy.
I can see it working as a really dark version of "Hello Little Girl" from into the woods (see if you can find a video of that on youtube).

what did you make the teeth out of? I'm making a similar mask wit moving jaw, and I want something that wont chip or anything :\

The teeth are made from Fimo polymer clay, which you bake hard in the oven. If you take it out after about 20 mins it isn't completely hard so itn't too britle, so shouldn't snap or chip even if you drop your teeth on a hard surface.
I can't afford taxidermy jawsets or anything, and I prefer to make it all myself to yeah...
And on this one, the jaw doesn't move.

I do have my own Kiln, but your teeth look so perfect! would you be willing to just make the teeth and sell them to me? Do they require glaze?

In the future I may be looking to take comissions and sell stuff, even if it's just teeth,but It's impossible for me right now...

Oh, and no, the teeth require no glaze at all, because I use a special clay colour called Pearl that gives it the off-white semi translusent toothy look.

I used an unconventional method as I can't get hold of resin stuff, so I used a wire and fine mesh under structure and applied plaster soaked bandages over the top, which also gives a good hard boney feel. oh, and acrylic paint over that to emphasize the lumpy bits.

but is it hard ? i mean if you poke it normally that it don't break or get smuchd ??I really want to try that as well for my own skull demon fursona xD but I suck with it comes to that kind of material lol I only can work with foam :'D

It's actually a fairly cheap and easy process I used, I think anyone could do it as the materials I chose were easy to source...
