I couldn't think of a decent title.
Bother.

I've watched this twice in the past two days (no small feat since the whole thing - both parts - is about four hours long) and...
It. Is. Freaking. Incredible.
(Bad grammar, of course, but necessary under the circumstances.)
Cha/rlie R/owe is pretty much exactly like my mental image of Peter, which is impressive because I can't remember the first time I read Peter Pan. He's been a part of my life pretty much from the cradle onwards. I also thought that he came across as a lot more likable than many other Peters I have seen through the years.

That was another thing I noticed. Char/lie Row/e seems to have the souless-zombie-child market pretty much stitched, doesn't he? (You won't get this unless you've seen the whole thing - and I won't spoiler you too much.) As soon as I saw him, I had this mental image of him in pain with a glazed, hopeless look in his eyes. I thought, what the heck? and looked him up.
He was Billy Co/sta in The Golden Compass.
"Where's my Ratter? Have you seen her?"

At least they got him back this time... I loved that part.

Hook didn't really fit his description for me, but I don't mind. The acting was amazing, and more than made up for it.
I was impressed with Aaya (Tiger Lily) too. They made more of her character than in other adaptations.
Needless to say, it worked.
